Elizabeth Bermudez / Jerez, Zacatecas

Two weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing Elizabeth, a gorgeous girl who has just turned fifteen years old, if you can believe it! She also happens to be my husbands cousin, who lives here in Mexico, just a few blocks over from Ismael and I.  “Betty”, as we call her, was so much fun to work with, she is sassy and sweet and the camera absolutely loves her. This was the first time I was also able to photograph one of Mexico’s magical cities, Jerez, which is actually where Betty’s Mother was born and raised. It was so much fun photographing Betty in her mother’s hometown of Jerez as well as her own hometown, Monte Escobedo. I had a blast capturing her in each different outfit, they all brought out a different side to Betty and she truly “worked it” the entire day. What a blast!

Carina + William / Monte Escobedo, Zacatecas

Carina has been blessed with such a handsome little man! The three of us walked around the small town of Monte Escobedo one rainy afternoon to catch these shots of the two of them, just being them. As you can see, William doesn’t have a shy bone in his body, he was a ham from the beginning posing like a natural! This was such a fun shoot for me because it was the first time I was able to photograph a family in the town where we live. I absolutely adore these two and am so glad I got to work with them in Mexico!

John + Elizabeth

During my recent trip to California I had the pleasure of working with John and Elizabeth in Newport Beach. These two, are an adorable couple to say the least, and they are tying the knot in a few short months and I am so looking forward to being apart of their big day. I absolutely adore Elizabeth and her contagious smile, and John knows exactly what to do to get her laughing. A special thanks goes out to Elizabeths’ brother Luis and his wife Stephanie for getting me connected with these two, I can’t wait for the wedding!

Violet Monroe Johnson

There’s nothing  like a late night post about some of my favorite little babes! While posting this, from what feels like a million miles away, I had to hold back the tears. I miss my family in a way words cannot describe and it makes living out my dreams so difficult, it’s definitely a bittersweet adventure living here in Mexico. I absolutely adore being able to capture these moments in my sisters life and am so thrilled at how this session turned out. Her two beautiful girls are jewels and I am so proud to be their auntie, its such an amazing gift to be able to watch these beauties grow!

Joey Heart Torres

A few weeks before I moved to Mexico I had the pleasure of photographing baby Joey, she is such a cutie pie and  her ” The Cat In The Hat” themed room is to die for, her parents did such an awesome job! Stephanie and Luis have been dear friends of mine for many  years now and seeing them as parents is such a reward. Photographing Joey was so easy and fun and it was so sentimental working and photographing them in their newly renovated home, the same home Stephanie grew up in. I am so excited for my friends and for their future as their family grows!
